Default brand new transfer case fluid is milky pink!

This is weird.

We drained all of the t case fluid last week and filled it with new Valvoline MAX Life Dexron VI fluid.

Thinking that I may have overfilled it we drained some off and it is strawberry milkshake pink.

It looks contaminated with water but it has not been near any water at all since we changed it.

The fluid we drained out looked just like this.

The transmission fluid looks fine so it is not being contaminated from there.

Odd thing is that this fluid is brand new and there is 0% chance that it got submerged or contaminated from the transmission

maybe being over filled it got whipped like cream. or your transmission has a hell of a leak that is traveling into the transfer case

Not odd, caused by water intrusion, or maybe your cheap fluid? I only use DEX VI full syn.( GM OE DEXRON-VI )and never seen that ever come out of mine.

As it turns out it was not overfilled. After we only got a 1/2 cup from the fill hole that was milky we checked our math and we did it right the first time. It could be whipped I guess.

BTW we did not have any fluid in the encoder motor so we are back to square 1 on that.

BTW only the round pink pool on the right is from tonight's drain. The pan was not empty or clean before.

And I do not know what it had in it before but it looked the same which is why we drained and replaced the 1st time.

Your pink pool is showing the same color pink draining. Check for water intrusion.
