Default Anyone replace their leafsprings

When I got the Hummer I noticed it was leaning on the drivers side, so I cranked on the torsion bars to bring it up. There was a 2 inch difference from one side to the other. After the adjustment now only 3/4 inch drop on the drivers side. Looking at the front bumper it looks good. The rear however still looks like it is leaning. Has anyone replaced their leaf springs? What manufacture of springs did you use? I would prefer oe springs but I can only find used and don't want the same issue with old springs. Any thoughts?

I know someone that had their passenger side leaf spring break while driving their H3, damn near went in the ditch before bringing it to a stop. That H3 was wheeled heavily, Moab and locally, might have something to do with it? Don't think it was corrosion related.

I also know people that have replaced them for various reasons.

I see Dorman makes them but not a fan of there products to begin with. There are several other companies that make and sell them, even found a heavy duty version 1920lbs vs stock 1560lbs capacity. I know OME make good stuff but there's adds 3/4 inch lift. I believe I already have longer shackles so I don't need that. I have order springs from RC before and they didn't last 6 months before they started to sag. They did warranty it but still, I had to do double the work.

What are the current measurements both sides front & rear? My leafs are still OEM factory installed and I abused the living sh>t out of them carrying overweight loads numerous times! I just checked my '07 and both rears are @24.5" empty.

Go to a local spring shop and price having them make exactly what you want. You could still do the swap labor and save a couple bucks if you want.

Or... get rid of whatever shackles you have/return to stock and go with OME to do it right. I would rather have shorter shackles and let the springs do the lift.

Remove the longer rear shackles and get the OME springs. 2 issues solved.
