Just curious if anyone has had issues there and if so what issue? Im also curious if the chain in the back was to skip or break would it cause damage to the internals? Thanks for any help

If you?re talking about the chain that drives the balance shafts at the rear of the engine, I have never had an issue with one in my 3.7

Hypothetically if it skipped a gear, the balance shafts would be slightly out of time with the engine and the engine would vibrate more than it should. If the chain broke completely, you would experience a lot of vibration due to the balance shafts not rotating at all, and you would probably get a lot of weird nasty sounds if the chain gets chewed up by the crankshaft gear.

No, no issue, I?m replacing the timing chain and not ready to remove the transmission yet. I?ve never seen a motor with a rear chain lol. A bit different than I?m used to
