Default Anti theft

Today was the second time in about two months I went to start and nothing, Icon on dash showing a car with lock thru it.
I checked the manual and tried every thing listed to cancel it.
About 20 minutes later I was able to start it.
Any thoughts?

Pull ignition switch connector, clean contacts, reconnect. Done!

Almost forgot.....My favorite contact cleaner/dielectric grease, that's never let me down:

I did the search pass lock a ton of info (almost too much). Where is there info about doing the cleaning route first?
Thanks all for assistance.

Search how to change H3 Hummer ignition switch. There is a recent thread here with a YTube vid in it as well.

Cleaning ain't rocket science..... Get the switch out, clean it and the contacts etc, install it. Test.

I did a search on changing out the ignition switch. Most are 8 years old,.
Will cleaning be a solution?

I have a good working backup ignition switch I replaced 8yrs ago if you want it. Just pull the connector and clean terminals, wait a minute, reconnect, then start. Amazing how that works.

I appreciate the offer, But I will try the cleaning option this weekend. I do have a can of contact cleaner around.
Do you know of any videos showing the process? Should the battery be disconnected before starting switch removal?
