Default Another Passlock solution

I own 2007 H3 - 5 speed- and have constant passlock non start issues for the last couple of years, increased daily last 6 months.... scoured this site for all fixes , and did them all, including replacing pass lock sensor, new key, FOB, battery, terminals etc.. To no avail.. BUT for last 3 weeks I started putting truck in reverse and starting and guess what?.. not a single issue... so all you h3 owners that have 5 speed try it.. for all you automatic tranny owners, keep posting how you have tried to fix this prob and if successful

Interesting, so you start in reverse with 5 speed.

No doubt with clutch depressed.

Nothing else worked ?

What's the part number for the pass lock sensor you replaced?

Not those crappy azzed terminals?
Switch can be replaced to correct, however crc electronic contact cleaner works too!
That damn white wire with a blue tracer will cause an issue when there is a low voltage drop signal!
Just clean the connections to correct!
Many have cut the wire and drive with the warning light on the dash.

Props to you for being creative! What made you think of trying that? Good to know to give it a try if you suddenly find yourself in the Passlock jam with a manual.

buckeye boy-
I changed out my passlock module and that stopped my passlock start failures. I tried a number of internet tricks and none worked for me.
I did not try the "put in reverse" trick, but now I hope I can remember that if I need to get started in the future.

I have top quality battery terminals, advised by Doc years ago and
I also have a 07 H3 manual, adventure
