Ok, i got 7/8 plugs out but have no idea how to get the last one out... the one behind the alternator. I can't even get the wire off, just no room.

Any advice?

 

I spent another 2 hours trying to get at this last plug, took the battery box out which gave me more space to try... still no luck. I give up, I guess i need to call the dealership.

 

I Know this is a very old thread, but thought I'd add some input for those searching for info on changing plugs in an Alpha. Like Cardiac, I was able to change 7 of the 8 plugs with only a few scrapes and a little cussing, but #1 plug cannot be accessed as fitted. I ended up having to remove the Alternator & then the power steering pump assembly to allow access to the plug. Hopefully with these Iridium plugs they should only need changed once.
