Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
I fixed it. Horrible horrible expierence. The truck only got worst lots of rumbling and misfires. Check engine light of course came on and I limped back home. I took out the plugs and went over the installation again. Still had the same results. Then I went to the store and purchased champion double platinum plugs. I put them in and the trucks running great. I compared the champion plugs to the ACdelco and the gap was nearly the same so I didnt gap them. The only thing I really noticed different is that the champion plugs are a little longer. I dont know what to tell you guys.
Perhaps the 2006 hummers dont like the new model acdelco plugs? My old plugs werent even giving me any problems. I wonder if I can get a refund???
ha
So my friend changed my moms spark plugs on her 06 h3..and now it’s “missing”..he said the old ones weren’t that bad & he didn’t know why anyone told her she needed new ones..besides the point. I read on here that possibly this brand with that year may be causing issues..can anyone who has had the same problem & fixed it point me in the right direction? (These are the one car quest recommended & ordered)

You are tacking on the end of an OLD AZZED Thread???? You should start a brand NEW Thread and ask your brand new question. READ: Old Threads/'Necro-Bumping'
I have moved your simple question in two posts out of the old dog of a thread you tacked it on.
The spark plugs to use for any I5 (3.5L & 3.7L) H3 hummer are the ACDelco OEM plugs. You can look up the number at any auto parts on line or walk in and tell them you want the ACDelco plugs. I believe the part number has been updated from what may be printed in the owners manual.
Go back and review the plug install, whoever did it likely made a mistake (which is hard to believe on these vehicle as the plugs are right on top of the engine out in the open once the air intake is removed). The novice mistake: if you do not get the spark plug boot straight on top of the plug and press it down until the wire/boot terminal is all the way on and clicked into place before you tighten the plug on coil pack bolt to 18N.m or 13lb ft. That is likely no more than 1/4 turn past finger tight gasket contact with the head. Otherwise, you do not get a proper connection = miss.
