Default Ac not working unless moving

So I don’t know if this has something to do with the new thermostat I know they run hotter. As long as I am driving it kicks the cold air out but if I am going through a drive through it’s just like hot air. Is this a common issue? 07 h3 adventure

Your low side is way to HIGH. What is the high side reading?

I don’t have a gage for the high side unfortunately.

When vehicle speed makes a difference like that, it can often be the fan clutch. Now, I'm not sure about the fans in these vehicles specifically, but that is often the case generally with belt-driven fans.

DIY set here--->ac manifold gauge set
Btw, when you have a manifold gauge set, you don't need a $60 a/c pro, 1 time use!
12oz cans alone are under 10bucks each, and recharge(yellow hose) with the manifold gauge set.

just replaced the fan clutch and waterpump. You didn’t even know the fan clutch wasn’t working. Now I hear the thing actually when I am driving. Totally different sound. My old fan clutch would still spin the fan but you wouldn’t know it wasn’t working.

Yeah, visually they will still spin. The way they work is as it gets hotter, the clutch allows the fan to slip less, so the fan will push more air through the radiator (well, PULL more air, technically) as it gets hotter, but usually even a bad one will spin the fan enough to make it look like it's working.
