Ive removed front driveshaft and drove without it and the noise still there, unfortunately. also I put it on the lift and put it in drive and listened with stethoscope. sounded like it was coming from transfer case. Removing it tomorrow with my technician and will take it apart.
Will keep you updated for future help!

An update. yes, its possible. Ive removed transfer case today- it took less than an hour to drop it and take it apart, no as hard as I thought it would be. so far no metal pieces, all sprockets look good, chain sitted tight. but there is a lower fork and one plastic piece came off its place. also looks like something wasnt sitted properly and I rotated the tc and it was making that clicking noise. I wiggled it a bit and it stopped. so Im going to check online how everything should l

ook and will rebuild it. that plastic piece is broken ,so its not holding in place.

Default Update on clicking noise. Solved.

Im updating on my issue. clicking noise ended up coming from the middle of transmission. Ive replaced transfer case, didnt help. then Listen with stethoscope more closely and found out , that noise actually coming from transmission. but it was just traveling through transfer case. So bought used transmission ,installed- noise is gone. lesson is learned- diagnose, listen , diagnose and listen .

But you did find a broken plastic shift fork in the transfer case. So it was not all for nothing. That was not going to lasted, so you fixed a guaranteed future issue.
