Default 2008 H3 vs 2010 Colorado trans same?

Needed to replace my engine, bought a farm truck with low miles old guy took good care of the engine and trans frame split on him though truck had 59k on it. I drove it shifted perfectly engine checked out too. So I get everything out and not thinking these trans might be different I swap the transfer case as mine was newly rebuilt. I get everything bolted up and trans is throwing shift solenoid 3-2 and P0185-00. Are these trans interchangeable or should I just throw my old one back in? It was fine just has 135k on it.

make sure the transmission plug connector is not leaking oil. you can also check the solenoid for continuity from the plug pinout. also check the harness near the back of the engine block to bell housing area for pinches or rub / breaks. might have got pinched when installing. also a known area for wire breaks.

The Trans are the same model, but in the Colly with the Colly Transmission Control Module it may have had different settings than your 2008 TCM in the hummer. That would be interesting to trouble shoot.

I think some electrical issue is more likely the culprit as some common possible issues pointed out by bronxteck.

Not really a trans guy, engine all day I can swamp them and that’s about it lol

But I plan to get under it this weekend and have a look if I damaged any of the wiring. I looked through a parts interchanger and it seems the trans have different part numbers. But I’m trying to figure out why > H3 full time 4WD, Colorado you can select between 2 and 4WD is the only difference I see, because even the torque converters share the same part number.

There is no difference in the transmissions of H3, Colorado, and Canyon Equipped with 4wd as selectable on the console.

Are the pans the same, with the special indent to clear the shaft?
