Hey guys my 2007 h3 the 4wd with work when I first start the vehicle. However as soon as I go down the road it won't let me activate it and the service 4wd turns on, no lights when I press the button, but if I turn it off and on it'll work.

You are going to have to provide a better/accurate description of your problem. H3s are permanently in 4WD, the only changes to make to that are using the Transfer Case Control Buttons to move from 4Hi to 4HiLock, then 4LoLock. When you drive down the road you should be using 4Hi (never use lock on dry pavement).

Service 4wd message can be caused by a bunch of different things. Like T Case Control Buttons that are cruddy dirty and sticking, to a bad Transfer Case Actuator or wire harness and/or connector corrosion.

 

When I start the truck, I have no warning or lights. Once I put in to drive, service 4wd shows up. It won't let me go in to 4hi lock or 4lo lock. But if stop and shut it off and turn it on, I can change from 4hi, 4hi lock, 4lo lock and nutrual. I can try cleaning the buttons. Just trying to figure out what's going on.

 

So update I puller the button pack out, (I think that's what it's called) I took it apart and blew it out with a air can, and it's seems to have fixed the issue.
