Took the baby to get a transmission flush and the tech told me the dipstick housing is loose. When you pull the dipstick out, it actually pops out of the transmission itself. It looks like the housing where it was bolted to is broken off. Any idea how to fix it? He didn’t want to risk it because of how sensitive the bolts were

Good reason not to take your vehicle to a hack to work on the Trans. Ain't no such thing a "sensitive bolts", but there are dumb azzed auto service techs.

There is no "bolt", only a nut (#2) that keeps the tube up near the top of the exhaust manifold. The #6 is just a Trans Shield, while it might be in the way, it has nothing to do with the tube.

 

How do you know it Identifies itself as a screw? what if it wants to be a nut?

 

Trick question. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't.
