2006 Hummer H3 Front End need Advice please
Hello just need some solid advice don’t know what’s going on with my hummer very loud clicking noise when trying to accelerate or turn sometimes it just won’t let me accelerate very difficult/dangerous to even drive right now 1 mechanic said it’s tie rods and wheel bearing the other said it’s the front differential needs replace any sound knowledge/advice would be very helpful thanks
Sounds very much like a CV axle needs to be replaced. The clicking becomes pronounced when trying to turn, as you describe. Check for torn boots on the CV joint next to the wheel, where the axle goes through the spindle. You would also find grease everywhere in the wheel well. But, even if not torn, could still be the joint. You don't say how many miles.
I don't know how tie rods could cause this?
I would suspect the CV axles before the differential.

Where are you located? Do you have a specialty drivetrain service facility in your area? Have somebody that services differentials and transmissions evaluate the problem.
Tie Rods and/or wheel bearings are not going to slow down acceleration, they will just make noises.
You could have a front differential issue and/or a Transfer Case issue and/or a CV Axle Shaft issue. Go to a service facility that works on those for an inspection, not a general mechanic (which by your description are apparently incompetent in your area). It gets diagnosed with your ear. Put it on a lift and listen to where the noise is coming from.
