Default 2006 H3 Programmer recommendations

I’d like to buy a programmer so I can change my transmission shift points and also to match my speedometer to my 35” tires, is there one available for this year? I see preprogrammed chips I can leave plugged in but I’d like to change it to my preference if available.

PCM of NC has various options for the H3, including DIY. I did the mail in tune and have been happy with the results. Mind you, I have a 5 speed so can't speak to their AT shift point profile. I'm happy with the little bit of extra power I got from the tune, and disabling the pass lock security lock out. They also can reset the speedo "gearing" to match larger tires. Adding the Air Doc and a high flow filter to the tune makes a noticeable difference in performance.

You either have the option of buying a mail order tune like from PCMofNC.com........ they do a great job, or buying HP Tuners software and doing it yourself, which I would NOT recommend.

Otherwise, there are no hand held tuners for the 2006.

just debating if I should put some goodies on or not. Seems like you can’t go wrong with cai, efan, and tune. Debating on ported throttle body and catback exhaust.

Hey Cody,
That is a nice rig...
Suggest you do some seaching and add some things slowly and see how you like them.
All the things you mentioned will give you some edge.
