Hummer H3 For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.

At 109k and not sure if trans fluid/filter has ever been changed. Change or leave it?

If I was you I would just use the MityVac you have access to and suck up what's in the pan, then top it back up based on how much you extracted. Do a hot fluid level check as described in the owner's manual before you start so you know you are starting with the correct fluid level.

When I dropped the pan and did my filter I replaced 5qts of fluid. When I siphon the pan with a MityVac I get about 3 qts out. The filter isn't much more than a screen, so I doubt its removing fine particles or likely to become clogged if you left it in there. Pretty sure its to capture larger chunks while the magnets capture the fine particles.

MONITOR THE COLOR OF THE FLUID & KEEP IT RED!
