Default where to pull the carplay usb cable to, hummer h2?

hey guys going to be doing a carplay install on my h2, and i need to pull the provided usb cable from the back of the headunit, to somewhere in the front. is it easy to gain access to the glove box maybe? or like to the centre console? that would probably be the best spots to put it in so i can plug my iphone in for carplay.

or where is easy and recommended?

thx

I pulled mine to the pocket where the Onstar used to be..... If you still have your Onstar that will not work though.

On my GMC truck I got one of these -
Amazon Amazon

Works great and my GMC console already had a round spot that it fit perfect. When I eventually redo things in my H2 I will probably get another and install it in the Hummer console.

Don’t pull to the glove box. Get a high quality longer cable and pull it under the center console. This watt you can always access it if you want to move it by just taking out the storage box.

mine is now mounted on a phone stand that bolts under the passenger seat.

That cable I linked on Amazon, one of those types should fit just fine in one of the power sockets (of course removing the power socket first). Only reason I do not like that idea is it leaves the thumb drive very exposed and easy to damage.

I replaced the cigarette lighter with a USB port designed to replace that hole. Was able tto directly wire that to my Pioneer headunit. It's a very clean set up.
