Default console storage ideas

The console storage box under the armrest is aggravating. It is just a small but deep hole, that you can't organize and it hard to get stuff out. I've tried velcroing some rubber pockets to the side but the velcro always comes off either the console or the pocket.

Any ideas to increase the utilization of the console storage?

I found GM # 15832106 compartment tray, but the picture makes it look like it is almost as deep as the hole. Any opinions on this item?

The picture's deceiving. That's the tray that comes with the Hummer, and yours is obviously missing. It doesn't even go half way down the compartment and will surely be just what you're looking for.

Get the tray ! It will make all the difference in the world . The base doesn't come with one and it wasn't an option to order. I told the salesman I wanted it and would find a dealer to sell me one with that tray , he had the parts guy order me ( no charge ) . It stupid that it's not in all H3,s . I just saw the price on your post , $30.00 sounds like a lot for a little plastic tray . I'm telling you if you hate the way the storage is , get it .

That tray was in my wife's base H3 and in my Adventure model. She likes it, I don't. I threw my tray away years ago. If you don't want to constantly be accessing stuff under the tray its a nifty little piece. The tray is about 2" deep.

Cool

The dash tray is also nice to have. Keeps things right in front of you for easy access.

The tray is std with the Lux Package, it is a dealer option on the Base and Adventure. The day I bought mine I asked the Dealer.... where is the tray? They told me only comes with the Lux and they did not add it. I called BS, they even showed me the GM order form. I bought one for $18 shipped several months later on line. The dealer would not budge from $30???

I have an 07 adventure and I do not have this extra tray.
I ended up making a compartmentalized tray that fits in the bottom of the stock console opening.
It keeps things separate and in their place and good enough for me.
Imagine a TV dinner tray, but in black plastic and made to fit an H3 console

Not that I have an H3 any longer, but if for nothing else I liked being able to store or hide things like a handheld CB under the tray.
