got rid of the leaking crimped lines

Those are not going to leak. Good job! Look pretty stiff, might be worried about them not flexing enough and causing the aluminum pipe to crack.

Took care of my engine oil cooler lines by throwing them in the trash and they were not even leaking.

you removed lines and cooler altogether?

you removed lines and cooler altogether?

I installed a new GM radiator as preventive maintenance, then purchased the GM oil block off plate for the engine oil cooler line ports, removed the engine oil cooler lines completely, the transmission cooler lines were left stock and hooked up to the new radiator. I don't tow enough to warrant an oil cooler and like the peace of mind, knowing that I don't have oil cooler lines to leak or suffer major engine damage if a catastrophic failure occurred.
