Default Source of harness connectors - where?

General information.

There are many different connectors fitted through the Hummer, does anyone know where buy any or all of them, if indeed its possible?

Amazon is also a good source for Delphi Metri-pack connectors....

You do need the right type of crimper for them though. Regular cheapo crimpers are not effective with them.

Excellent MixManSC ..... suddenly, hey-presto, you've solved it!

..... of course good, tight, evenly formed crimps shouldn't be a problem

Thank you!

I like to do things right myself..... I will use butt connectors but I'm not really fond of them but if you get good quality ones (not the cheap no-name ones) they are actually fine. I like to be able to disconnect things though and the reliability of the Delphi connectors is excellent. Also look into the Delphi Weather-pack ones as well. Those are more designed for underhood and exterior uses. Of course like the Metri-pack they also come in a ton of different sizes and configurations.

Is there a specific connector you are looking for?

Thank you, indedd there are two actually:-

First is a Ride-Height Sensor connector, 6-Way F MQS Sealed (Black) GM P/No 15355474 (LH & RH are the same shells, just different wiring colors). My LHS broke and will no longer stay firmly locked in place. Whats amazing is that alothough the connectors are the same, the wiring reverses between left and right, so don't ever swap the sensors over to test them.

2nd is the front Windshield Washer Switch, 7-Way F Metri-Pack 150 Series (MD GY) [in the service manual referenced as "Turn Signal/Multifunction Terminal Identification Switch - C2"] Never seen this but looking for a supply of these for an "Auto-Rain-Sensing Wiper" control system, or it maybe easier to splice the wiring harness and connect-up this was, At this stage its just a feasibility study.

Cheers

Mouser will have the connectors: https://www.mouser.com/Connectors/Au...ors/_/N-1ehb5/

I have not been able to stump then yet. Most likely it is an Aptiv connector (formerly Delphi). You can research it yourself with the link above, ("number of positions" is equal to number of pins) or call them directly. They are very helpful.

Once you find the right Mouser part number, re-post so others can quickly get to it as well.

Thanks that's very good info. As it happens I have an account with Mouser so I'll have a look.

Great reply and of course will post results.
