Side steps HELP
NEED HELP, do not have, nor want two piece factory side steps. Mama needs a step though, I'm prepared to make mods like a bracket to frame for some available steps out there. Are the stock inside pieces even available? I'm in SC Thanks

You are missing two parts. The rocks rails first of all which is a smaller black tube structure. That is what both the tubular nerf bar steps or the two peice U steps attach to. Then either the tubular nerf bar steps or the two peice steps. For either style of original side steps (single tubular nerf bar style or the two peice U steps) the rock rails will be required to install them unless some sort of fabrication is done.
There might be an aftermarket step rail that can attach without having the rock rails but I'm not sure about that. I do know the nfab used to make some that had two steps, and the next option is from AMP Research who makes some power steps rails for the H2. Those are full length but are motorized, they tuck up under when the doors are closed, open a door and they automatically come out. Very nice but also pricey.
There are a number of the factory ones on eBay. Search for Hummer H2 step or Hummer H2 rock rail. They are not going to be cheap though.....

Someone is selling the rock rails on the forum https://www.hummerforums.com/forum/p...tectors-44972/
Or eBay. I bought OEM Nerf bars for like $350 on eBay, only to find there are aftermarket ones that look just the same, brand new for around $175 all over Amazon.
And it never hurts to look on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace. There's a set of rock rails on my local Craigslist that they're practically giving away. Probably don't want to deal with shipping such a large item, and it's a niche item to sell locally, so they've lowered and lowered the price to just a few hundred.
