Merged and MOVED. You do it (start a thread) by posing ONE time, and put H2 questions in the..................... H2 section.

Sounds interesting, may I ask if you intend to replace the mirrors with camera, or add rear view to the mirror?

Here is a
showing one way of getting inside.

Default I am trying to install a camera as well

I have an 04 Hummer H2 as well so I plan I trying to remove the glass from the video posted above THANKS.. Then I need help understanding how difficult it is to try and drill a hole in the bottom of the mirror unit so that I can install a camera that will point to the ground to help my wife dodge the jumping curbs that seem to ruins my rims every time. I am also concerned with mounting the camera so that it doesn’t get in the way and limit the mirrors free range of motion right to left and left to right. Once mounted the majority of the cameras housing is going to sit up inside behind the mirror. Any suggestions? Getting the camera power wire down the arm and into the door wall seems to be tricky too. Any HELP out there?

You may have an option called "Cerb View" which does exactly that

" The vehicle’s outside mirrors can also perform a curb
view assist mirror function. This causes the passenger’s
and/or driver’s mirror to tilt to a preselected position
when the vehicle is in REVERSE (R). This feature may
be useful in viewing the curb when parallel parking.
When the vehicle is shifted out of REVERSE (R) and a
short delay has occurred, the passenger’s and/or
driver’s mirror will return to its original position.
To change the preselected tilt position, adjust the
mirrors to the desired position while the vehicle is in
REVERSE (R). When the vehicle is shifted out of
REVERSE (R), this new position is saved in memory as
the tilt position.
This feature can be enabled/disabled through the Driver
Information Center. See
Driver Information Center (DIC)"

Ultimately to fit a camera you would need to remove the mirror arm assembly from the door
