Hi All,

I am installing a remote start to my 2003 Hummer H2 and am getting the engine light showing up after remote starting and the car goes into limp mod until I clear the code.

I think it is down to the second ignition wire needing to be connected to my remote start but I have looked at the ignition harness and don't have a white wire there which according to the wiring diagram is the second ignition wire.

I have also installed a resistor to bypass the Passlock but the passlock security light just stays illuminated all the time when the ignitiion is on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The remote start I'm Installing is a Firstech CM900AS.

it mentions setting a delay in the start procedure. i guess it gives passlock time to first enable then starts the engine. if you start first then passlock triggers because it probably thinks it is being bypassed like in an old school "hot wire" job from the 60's
​​​​​​crazy they don't have consumer support. hard for me to feel i purchased a good product if they don't even support you after purchase. i could just imagine what headache a warranty claim will be.

I actually managed to get it to remote start now without triggering the engine light for the transmission as the white wire stated on the wiring diagram was a second yellow wire on my Hummer.

Only thing I need now is to get the passlock light to stop being illuminated all the time.

I have put the resistor in correctly for the passlock so not sure why it remains on and lets me start the engine every time without any trouble.
