Joe.............. you have an H2 correct? That means ALL your questions about it go in the H2 section. Please do that. The drivetrain section is READ only.... dead.

Default Possible fix

So this could be one of three things - fortunately you likely can determine which one and the fix shouldn't be expensive. If you're comfortable taking apart your liftgate (there are YouTube videos - remove the loop handle with a 7mm bolt and then carefully pop all of the clips to take off the trim), you'll expose the actuator and cables. On the actuator, there is a black slide at the end that can pop out of place. If that has happened, then the actuator will fire but not throw the lock. It could be as simple as flipping that into place. You also could have a cable that has come loose (there are 3), and worse case is replace the actuator which is $20 or less - Part # 25001736.

Default Please Help!

Hello, Mr. Joe:

Sir, I too have your same problem. And I read your original post and your below update, that you were able to fix your H2 hatch that wasn't locking. My 2008, H2 hatch is also not locking so I was wondering, Sir...and since the troubleshooting seems a tad technical to me, by chance, will you please explain what I too should do in order to get my hatch to lock? Just looking for a a but more detailed, step by step, resolution that I may follow to be able to lock my hatch?

Thank you for any information that you can provide, Mr. Joe...much appreciated, Sir!
