I went to see my buddy who is the parts man at the local Chevy dealer to get front and rear bump stops for my H2. We got them ordered and then I asked him to look up the drivers seat foam. My seat foam and leather are in excellent condition and the seat heater functions just fine but I know that some day these will be unobtainable, so I had him order the cushion part number 88940349 and the 19127878 leather cover, which had been discontinued but he found a dealer with one and had it brought in for me. I figure I will use them someday or have something to sell if I ever get rid of my rig.

 

Not a bad strategy. The inflation on H2 specific bits is real and over time probably a good investment.

 

It would make more sense to have an upholstery company do the work instead of buying unicorn pieces which have been long discontinued.

 

I mush prefer the OEM look and even though a good upholstery shop can do great work, I think this is a better way to go as I can install in myself when needed.
