That's very often the case with Delphi.

 

adding to my original post check engine light heated 02 sensor last month on a cold morning
still havent changed sensor yet, but I just remembered that a few days before I got fault i poured in a
full can of seafoam cleaner on a full tank. just curious if there a possibility its related. i can turn off
fault and since its still cold out it comes back the next day, I still have not refueled yet from seafoam.
because I only use truck occasionally gonna wait til i refuel before i change sensor

 

Unfortunately when a contaminant affects an O2 sensor it usually destroys it. Worth a try though, wait and see with some fresh gas

 

Delphi breaks after 3 months they are trash. Don’t buy off Amazon buy from advance auto parts if rear on is good don’t replace I would clear code first see how long it stays off. Might be ok. Torque spec is 15 lb 22 mm socket
