I will not run a gas heater in my garage! Vine sent me
4800W Garage Heater 240V 4800W Garage Heater 240V
heats up fast and will easily heat up my garage to 75° in there. I only use it set at 60° during the day when I'm working in there.

Yeowwwwwwwwwww.... can see your electric meter spinning like saucer on a glass table! The NG unit is vented to my Chimney which is the one the Home NG heater uses. The chimney is in the garage up against the back wall. So it was a no brainer for installation.

When you lose your electrical power ...yah gots no heat in the garage.

Also, I think we are in the wrong place to discuss this topic. We don't want the Moderators to Flag us and take our toys away.. I think we should be in the "OTHER" forum marked above.

If I ever lose power, my gas furnace inside my home wouldn't work either.
My attached garage has 2 entries into my home, I don't want any CO2 traveling from the garage inside my home!
I renovated my home/garage ALL led lighting+energy efficient appliances computers/tvs etc/ solar powered outdoor lighting and my last 12month average is 678 kWh a month.
I also buy my own electricity my current FIXED rate cost .0599 kWh.
Btw, to answer your previous question my location, I'm around 500miles northwest of you and the current forecast here shows above freezing temperature on Saturday 2/8 37°F

Lol.... Westinghouse 12.5 KW generator that runs the house for me. Plus a large wood stove in the house, and an even bigger one in my shop. I recently turned 61 and I just simply can't stand the cold anymore

NEVER turn the wipers on before you clear the windshield or you will cause damage to the wiper arm/transmission/motor!
I only brushed/scraped small area drivers side to see pulling into the garage.
There was 14 inches snow on top of 1/2" thick of ice, no way the wipers would work!
All clear now.

What's funny is that you moved the snow and left the shape of a windshield wiper on the glass....L.O.L. Of course I know never start the wipers till the glass is clear. But then again there is a Circuit breaker in the system if the wipers get frozen the breaker goes off.

I don't need a generator here! Power lines here are routed underground plus they are currently installing a secondary power line underground throughout my development for backup, although they halted install with all the snow/cold weather.
I will install a generator if my power fails for an extended period of time!
IMO, waste of money unless you need one.
