Default No Luck On My Search....Paint Code 2009 Lower Valance

I have a 2009 H2 Lux. All painted in GM Black. But the front lower Valance below the bumper line is some kind of gray or silver? I think I checked my tag on the body but it doesn't mention WTF color that lower silver section is. Maybe I missed it...Any Ideas where to find out what the GM color is?

Look at my Sig pic... You'll see the lower silver section.

I would check with an automotive body shop, or one of the shops that specialize in automotive paint. They're more familiar with sources to find correct paint codes going back decades.... Very important when they can't actually match the paint because the original is faded.

Try the below link for the 2009 H2. They do list two or three different shades of silver used, and show the examples... and list all the codes. You might try to match these known codes to the label on yours

Thanks Robert for the research.
I think what's listed there after the search is the main Body color. The lower front color I don't think would match any of the silvers. I think my best bet is to go to a body shop. They probably have more info.

Have you considered the possibility that a previous owner may have already repainted it?
Also, if it is the original paint, it has faded somewhat in 15 odd years.... Probably would not look exactly like the paint swatches they show. Nothing wrong with painting it whatever color you want. It's easy enough to sand down and change it later if you want...

I can't see your pic?
Btw, if you are referring to the apron it's clear coated polished aluminum. AM also available in stainless & chrome.
Get your cleaner-brushes then clean-polish until you get a military shine.

I'm the Day one owner. It's just a Semi Gloss Factory Silver. All the 2009's came that way. Not going to stress over it. I can always scuff it up ad rattle can it to a generic silver.

Looks Nice. But not that much into chrome. The semi Gloss Silver is just Ok with me. Here's a Night shot of my 2 You can get an Idea of the color... not as good as a day shot but this one was on the puter. That guy did two Motorcycle Forks... No way I'm going thru that...To much work. If I wanted a chrome Apron...I'd buy one. Or..Maybe I'l Black Rattle Can Spray Bed Liner on it.
