no crank or start situation
you need to find the wiring to the ignition switch then the wiring to the china box and look at the wire colors. match them as you would your socks.red with yellow line to red with yellow line as an example. and reconnect them. you can use barrel connectors. if it was not a total hack job then maybe they used a harness adapter plug and you might just be able to plug right back into the ignition switch.
you just need to get your hands in there and get a visual of the situation.

thanks everyone for the help, the small purple wire rotted off the starter lug, of course im still leary about getting stuck with this cheapie
alarm/pushbutton start. and should still have someone put it back to stock, what has to be done to get rid of the security key possible problems?
reprogram BCM? its a big issue with my 89c4 corvette, the wiskers inside the lock that read the resistor pill oxidize etc and leave you stranded.

ECU tuning software can shut of VATS. (Vehicle Anti Theft System)
