no Crank, No Start
Sorry, I wasn't clear, the Hummer has been sitting since 2019, I assumed that since it had been started regularly that some fresh gas and oil and i'd be good to go.
If I had put oil in the cylinders and tried to break it free manually like you would any motor that's been sitting, I might have been able to save it.
It's too nice of a rig to part out though, so I'm looking at engine replacement options.

Never really heard of an engine seizing from being started every couple of months unless maybe it was only for 10 seconds and was done like that for a few years in which case condensation could build up internally. I have a GMC with basically the same engine, just the 5.3 instead and it has been off the road for over 5 years now. Only gets started every couple of months but I do run it for at least 15 minutes each time to make sure any condensation gets burned off and give the battery a bit to charge back up. Have done other vehicles the same way in the past with no ill effects.
I'll try again here, H2 has been sitting since 2019, Senior owner claims it has been started regularly.
It obviously wasn't
I put gas, fresh oil, and a battery in it, and bang...crunch crunch crunch.
If it had been started periodically it wouldn't have seized, and if I'd known it hadn't been started, I would have had a different approach to getting it running.

Lesson to be learned: Start the vehicle before you buy it. And don't naiively believe everything you are told..
I believe 50% of what I see, and 25% of what I hear and read. Helps a bit.
Don't believe anything I said. That will be a good start, LOL! (pardon the pun).
Lesson #2: If you buy a non-running vehicle, EXPECT the worst, and price accordingly. Anything less that the worst case scenario will be be a gift to you.
