You say they bend, actually you need to understand the difference between "flex" vs "bend".
Yeah. I know the difference. They flexed a lot but the problem is that they didn’t return back to their original shape, therefore… bent. Also they use the same steel thickness and mounting system for the h2 as the h3 despite the h2 being 2000lbs heavier.

you can see the passenger side, the side I jacked up bent upward into the body now. Compared to the driver side that’s normal.

The mounting rails are NOT properly constructed! Contact the seller IMMEDIATELY! Ask for a refund, seller pays return shipping! If needed open a dispute with your CC>FALSE ADVERTISING.

From the first photo on the floor (covered in rusty nails) you can tell that these things are super wimpy.

The mounting legs are super skinny and look like they can be bent by hand.

Ugh. You get what you pay for.My OEM Replacement rock rails were $2000

And to answer how much flex is acceptable or normal: the answer is zero.

I can confirm with the other posts that the OEM factory rock rails do not bend and can hold the entire weight of the vehicle with a jack.
