Btw, my current rate is @ $150hr including travel time. However, you can save a lot of dough DIY, pull the steering column trim and R&R.

You get to clean the grease trap.

I will not be pulling anything except something else. My 09 H2 has a Tracking device and I can lock it in park with my Cell; Phone. So Lock Ch-Mock ...not needed.
Thank you for the research and your Hourly Rate Quote. Some day when I save enough I'll call you for Service.

Hoo Rah..

Excellent. That would work very well... I'd need a tetanus shot to handle that lock....

And Your 1970's Vintage "CLUB" went out with WWII underwear. Also there is another device that works better. Still for sale and invented during the time when you were just graduating kindergarten. Works very well. I use it in the 1965 Vette. In fact I will be heading up to Carlisle Pa for this years "Corvettes @ Carlisle" and I will be taking the Brake Pedal Lock I bought after my 3rd wife.

I think Im gonna drag out the Tech 2 tomorrow and see if there is anyway to diagnose it and look on how much of a pain in the a$$ it will be to replace. Not that it would make much difference in prevent someone who knows what they are doing from stealing it.

Im kind of ****, I expect everything on my H2 to work as it did when it came off the factory line so it will bug me until I fix it.

Oh well, I just replaced a broken drivers window regulator yesterday now it looks like I will be taking the column apart, crap.

Don't know if the Tech II will show a broken steering wheel lock. I have a Tec II also... Let me know how the Tech II works out. Also the menu selection in sequence to get there. I'm like you ..I want everything on my 09-2 to work. In fact ..The dash vents are defective. The last Flapper on the bottom is the first to break on the 08 and 09. I replaced all of mine . I was lucky to find a guy parting out and 09 interior set. But alas... After some time the bottom flapper link broke. It's the weakest point in the action that moves the vents.

Never stick anything in those vent openings on the 08 and 09.The right and left hand internal arms that move the vent slats break easily.

At least with yours it's the old reliable design.
