Default Just Found Out That my 09 Steering will does not Lock?

Had the rig in for new FNC rotors and Pads today and my Meck-in nick told me my Steering wheel doesn't lock when the key is removed. I haven't researched it in the shop manual yet. The rig is a 2009 H2 SUV Flex Fuel 6.2. I did ask google when I was home before getting out of the 2. Google says the locking pawl in the tumbler must be warn out.

Not taking it to the dealer for that $$$$$$. I can live with it. It doesn't look like a job I want to do .I'm not about to pull the steering wheel. Or mess with the lock meck and try and pull it.

Anyone else have problems with the wheel not locking after the key is removed?

https://www.gmwholesaledirect.com/oe...-lock-26056147 For 09 SUV

So your coming down here and changing it out for me right? I'll have some bush weed ready and some Hoch juice and maybe a few mom-a- sons.
So we have to rip out the complete steering column and pull the body and drain the rad.... Cool... LMAO.
