my 2005 has a crack in the black hood grill - I see chromes ones for sale. are they plastic chrome? or does someone make a metal one? I guess 3 questions
the other owner put a KN round filter in the airbox - but doesn't the factory have a sealed box/ with a lid? and do other chevy ( Silverado's etc) boxes fit the H2? Thanks PS my H2 looks like new inside and out / underneath - I just want to keep it perfect if possible

 

No metal grilles. All are plastic. Oem is chrome, but they look nice painted.

Factory is a paper filter in a box with a lid that pulls air from inside the fender. The factory intake imo is the best one. Filter is big, and it pulls cold air. Not sure if a silverado box will fit, Im pretty sure theyre different. Maybe send a pic of yours so we can see what we're looking at.
