I need a replacement unit for my '03 H2. I've looked at many of them for sale but I would like to confirm the OEM.part #. Mines is 40 miles away at a shop otherwise i would remove myself and find part number. Also would you all recommend AC Delco if I can find one, refurbed OE, or new Dorman? Any help would be appreciated as I want this repair to last a while.

 

I just changed mine yesterday....small world. I used Dorman# 599-211

They need to be programmed according to year and vehicle as they fit a variety of vehicles, instructions were included with mine.

I've got something off as now my A/C is not cooling very well. I'll recalibrate it all later today.

I've tried around 5 Dorman AC modules and have not been able to get any of them to work, I ended up getting the OEM replacement for my 03 Denali. I talked with Dorman and they had me send one back to them directly so they could test it, they said it passed their testing, the OEM snapped in and worked without any issues. At the time I didn't have access to a dealer grade scanner to run it through the setup process but the instructions didn't say it needed to. After working on a few different vehicles I've learned the scanner will force the module and actuators to calibrate when pulling the fuse wont work so the Dorman may work if you can get someone with a scanner to perform the calibration process on it.

The Dorman may work for you right out of the box for me they would not.
