I値l look it over one more time and then if it痴 still ok I値l drive it for a while and take another peek. Before today the idle surged up and down all the time. Or if not continuously, I could get it to happen by giving it gas.

Sam, I知 also going to rebuild or replace. My seal actually fell out after I replaced it... and I lost a lot of fluid as well. It looks like the seal must have been damaged on install or was defective... I知 waiting on an old stock part (original) it痴 the output shaft seal with no metal lip... I think it is a better part. Once I get it, I値l toss it on and fill it up. Rebuild coming... I知 wondering if that is a job I can do... or if I need to send it out. Reman is like 1200-1600 bucks I saw a rebuild kit for like 400.... it痴 been an odd week for my H2... it痴 super nice besides a few surprises that popped up. I値l sort it out though.

Sounds good to me. Leave it alone and get that seal properly secured. In the meantime make sure you save all the old parts for future if needed. When you're back on the road, use the seafoam induction cleaner, more seafoam in the tank and top tier fuel(use a high octane) then drive it down the highway like a bat out of hell.

my neighbors would kill me if i used seafoam through my intake. the cloud it produces is crazy. they would probably call the EPA on me.

The carbon release can be intense. I have always injected cleaner through a vacuum port, and you can smell the catalyst burning the carbon. I have serviced many vehicles that would smoke out the surroundings. That's why I recommend to drive away and spread the carbon around.

I ordered the seafoam spray (the one with the straw). Once it gets here I値l knock it out. I知 not worried about the neighbors.

I just fogged the engine through the TB like in the video above. I got it up to temp. Shut it off. Removed the air intake and fished the straw with elbow in. Put air intake back on TB. And had someone keep the tac on 2k while I sprayed. I didn稚 get any smoke from the exhaust at all (at least not that I could see). Once the can was empty I had my helper shut it down. I removed the air intake, and straw and elbow. I put the air intake back on and let it sit for 10-15 min. Then I started it up and still no smoke. I drove it for 15 min or so and parked it.

I have done similar before and usually there is a huge cloud behind the vehicle while spraying. So I知 kind of puzzled. I bought two cans. I may try it again... or I might change the oil and drive it as is, then once I change the oil the next time, I値l spray it agIn.

Thoughts?
