It will only run for 2 seconds and then shut off. If the engine starts then it continues to run. That is the way cars are designed. Prevents fires in case of and accident.

ahhh ok..i don't know how to trick it either then, did you figure it out or just wrestle with it full of gas? or still not done?

Yep, I hooked a tube to the outlet side nipple of the fuel filter, ran it to some gas cans and jumped the relay in the engine compartment and it drained 18 gals. of gas in about 10 mins. All empty now... Got that hint from another member. Now to get the freakin pump out of the tank. Its so rusted it does not want to budge. I'm letting it soak overnight in WD40. Lets hope tomorrow is a better day?
