I'm all stoked up for the weather to get a little warmer. I will be attacking the underside Bolt in the roof lamp under the side marker that you clued me in on. I got all my new gaskets and some sharp blades to scrape the 3 lbs of RTV off to get that bolt out. I hope I find corrosion on those threads. I'll wrap that sucker up with 400 feet of teflon tape. L.O.L. That's been bugging me for years not knowing after boo coo tries to seal that leak.

Where coming up on the April Rains. I hope that's the Fix. Thanks again for that tip.

 

A couple tips if I didn't mention them....

Instead of Teflon tape, go to a plumbing section and ask for thread tape for natural gas lines. It appears to be made of some kind of rubber, and I use it for regular thread tape on just about everything except high temperature applications.

And if you're thinking of covering the top of that little bolt head completely with RTV to prevent water seeping in around it, you can always go hardcore and use 3M 5200. It's a marine adhesive sealant, designed to be used below the water line on boats for fittings that go through the hull. Well the stuff stays pliable for over 10 years.... Very difficult to remove without razor blades.
