Here's a new on for those hunting down Water leaks
A couple of weeks back it rained on an off daily for nearly a 2 weeks. I normally don't have the H2 outside but has an indoor project going on and needed the space in the garage. Well when I went to put it back the garage I noticed the head liner was wet. Well what the heck. I know my gaskets were fine and the end light were sealed and my drains were good. Humm, When I was backing into the garage my wife said you have a number of those "lighty" things on the roof that were not working. What was interesting the lights that were out were exactly where the headliner was wet.
Well anyone want to guess with the issue was, Over the years the plastic on the 3 red center clearance light in the rear had developed a small crack in the plastic. During all these rain storms we had water would drip down through the cracks onto the bulb, down the socket finally down the wires and onto the headliner. So now it was time for come creative repair ideas. I don't like the aftermarket ones and originals go for a fortune on ebay. I thought how about using some clear gorilla glue and just put enough in them through the lamp hole to seal them up. Worked great and unless you stare at them with the lights on you can't tell. Another inexpensive repair and best of all no more wet headliner! Might be something for you to consider taking a peak at!
