So I was doing some research and looked into converting the H2 torsion system to a full coilover system. Has anyone attempted this or looked into it? I have seen kits for 99-06 GM 4x4s, and even some coilover kits that say they work for the H2, but havent seen any real world examples of it. I'm not talking about doing a 6" lift with all this, but just maybe a 3" max and putting coilovers all the way around or even just for the front to get rid of the torsion system. Any help would be much appreciated.

You can get 3" much easier with GM green keys and some upgrades to the suspension to keep geometries in line.

 

Hey bronx, funny you mentined him, I contacted him minutes before you mentined it and he siad his brackets arent for the 2500/H2, and that he doesnt recommend doing coilovers for the 2, as there arent to many coils that could support the weight. But i find that odd, as there are coils on a lot heavier vehicles.

LoJac, I def understand the green keys, and what not, but was looking for not only the lift but just an all around upgrade to the ****ty torsion bar ride quality. I found a BDS 4.5" lift for 2500HD, but the think with that is they don't package anything for the H2s, so the package comes with stuff for leaf springs and uch out pack. I might contact them and see if they can build a package for the 2, the front from the 2500HD and the rear from a Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade.

 

I figured that was your reasoning but wanted to make sure you knew (I assumed you did given the knowledge you already had) there were other options. Keep us updated.
