Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Not as bad as the old army jeeps, where the fuel tank was literally under the driver's seat
I could tell you a Funny story about that. When I was in Nam in 1966-1967, one of the guys in my company was the CO's driver. Down the road from our base in the middle of nowhere, was a Vietnamese Car wash. I'll explain. It's a pond filled with rain water... and a 5 Hp water pump with a long hose. A small shack with a tiny BAR.

The idea was if you needed to clean your rig or whatever you drove, you would pull in an could get a bottle of 3.2 beer and SEX in the back room while your rig was being washed. The rule was ....you had to have two guys... one to watch the rig while the other was doing the nasty.

I used to run our 40 Ton P&H truck mounted cranes there to get them washed down. The CO's driver came back from picking something up from somewhere and stopped in for a Beer and a B job at the Car wash.

Wheil in the back doing the nasty... the car wash guy picked up the front seat and tilted it forward and removed the 5 inch diameter gas cap. Then proceeded to tape the handle of a Hand Grenade with some electrical tape, Puller The Pin and dropped it into the tank. The driver left and drove back to the motorpool and dropped of the Jeep. About 3 hours later the gas ate the tape and the jeep went up and took a 2 1/2 ton truck with it.

Yes..I remember those Jeeps...LMAO

As long as the old tank isn't damaged any further getting it out, I plan on letting it set out in the lawn mower shed for a few months before attempting any repairs.
Might be interesting to take it to a metal fab shop and see what the think about making a replacement in aluminum.
Anyway, thanks again for all the info and suggestions.

That's above my Pay Grade... But I think the Mod's can Figure that out.

Just for S& Giggles... How about go into your photo program and turn it upside down and then save it to the desktop and try and post the Avatar upside down. Maybe it will come out correct. BWTFDIK
