Engine is out and HP parts ordered, what headers
home made LS engine primer, pump up sprayer bottle with gallon graduates. Cut the spray tip off and pushed a section of fuel line on it. need the trigger still for on/off encase something unexpected happens.
I made this fitting from an O2 bung plug and a hose barb. push the hose from the sprayer on it and start pumping.
I forced 5 QT's of oil in the engine while turning the engine a 1/4 turn every 5 minutes or so
The fitting is in the main oil galley right at the oil pump discharge, this needs to be done to prime the oil pump and get oil through the engine prior to start up.
All that's left to do is tighten the spark plugs and install the plug wires then we'll see if it will crank.

lil update;
It cranked right up with good oil pressure and no odd sounds or leaks so all is good,
Working with GPI with the tuning, that will take a few days to get it dialed in. Had to order a set of LS header plug wires as one of the boots is hitting the primary pipe on the headers. Had the same issue with my vette and ended up with Accel ceramic boot wires, they were the only ones that will hold up to the heat from the headers.
I tried uploading a video but it will not allow me to.

I was surprised it cranked and ran, at the time I had a Diablo custom tune from Lew not realizing he made adjustments to the idle tables, it cranked and idled pretty good. I had to remove the Diablo tune to send GPI the OE Calibration so when I removed the diablo tune and flashed the OE tune it didn't want to crank without peddle input. I have the first GPI tune flashed and it cranks better now but still needs work. I sent GPI the first set of Logs and they are working on the next tune for the truck.
Since I have room for the header plug wire boots I ordered a set of Taylor wires instead of the ceramic boot wires, I'll see how that works and go from there.
The trans calibration needs a lot of work, sure that will come after we get the engine tune close.

GPI has sent 4 tunes and the truck is pretty well dialed in as for as the ECU goes, fueling is very close along with timing. I've got the trans close to the way I like it with just a little fine tuning left. I've still got to run the exhaust over the axle and out the back and send the headers off to be coated. The truck has a choppy idle so its obvious it has a cam, debating on raising the idle a little to smooth it out a little. Over all I'm happy with the way it turned out, it runs strong, sounds great and for a heavy truck it runs good. The converter is a little loose for a 2800 stall compared to the precious 2800 stalls I've ran on the street but its not like a 3500 where you've really got to rev it off every light.
