Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default E85

Is anyone using E85 fuel in their H2? How is working out?

My 2008 runs poor on 87 octane. I can't imagine it doing anything with E85.

No way. 87 on ours also makes it run like crap. 89/93 is what I use. And thanks Joe for the ridiculous high gas prices. Get ready it’s about to get more expensive again.

Bone stock other than 37" tires. Pretty peppy, although slightly slower with the larger tires compared to stock.

You can't just decide to run E85. In order for a modern engine to do this, the computer senses when its on E85 and makes adjustment for timing and fuel flow. E85 needs about 30% more fuel than regular gas. It burns cleaner but you need more of it.

The ethenol will also eat up every bit of rubber in the fuel system.

Stock injectors and fuel pump would need to be upgraded likely along with a tune. It really isn’t worth messing with.

09s are flex fuel and can do it but who knows how well it will work.

Someone will correct me if I’m wrong but e85 if it’s setup properly would run just as well as premium gas just with less mileage as it’s less dense and burns cooler.
