One of the best things you can do for your 08/09 dash top is to use Aerospace 303 product on it. I helps prevent the UV rays from causing it to become brittle.

Ya I've been treating g it. Only issue is my trim piece up there has cracked off at the driver side corner now the thing bounces and slaps the dash. Super annoying to drive with

Remove it and repair it using fiberglass cloth and fiberglass to re-enforce. I repaired a number of broken panels on my 06 that way and they came out great. You can get textured embossed sheets to place over the area where the plastic is missing and the fiberglass will take the pattern of the sheets. Once done with the fiberglass work you can use SEM paints to repaint the complete cover to get everything to match. I have a friend that used Rhino liner for his Silverado and it really came out well. This will take you some time and effort but you will save a fortune trying to find a replacement.

Any tips for fixing the clip points? The plastic pieces from the defrost vent bezzle broke off inside the clips still atatched to the dash. That's mainly why it's bouncing it has nothing g holding it down. Was considering hot glue

Post up a picture and lets see what we can come up with, while hot glue works for temporary repairs I don't think it will last long term. I have actually made different hardware buy molding what I wanted out of clay then filling it with fiberglass then holding it in place using JB weld or resin.

BeSt i could do without prying it up more. Thanks for your help. Unfortunately I bought this 08 not realizing the condition of the interior. It's not terrible. But alot of loose and cracked stuff, things broken i wasn't aware of. Almost tempted to sell it fast at a slight loss and just start over. I rushed into this one. Mechanically it's a champion though

Not a biggy, you pry out the clip and remove the tang from the clip. Then JB weld it back to it's original location. This repair works well and while it might not withstand and number of installations and removals it will hold in place until you need to remove the cover again.

If your 08/09 H2 is in excellent mechanical keep it, The door panels in the 08/09 are made of a much better material then the earlier models and what ever cracks you may have are easy repairs.

Nope. You can though - my hope was if enough people request it maybe they'll work something up.
