Out of curiosity I just looked in the GM Service Information system for the specs. 03-05 are different than 06-09 in that they changed camber to be relative to the ground and started that on 06. 03-05 show the same and 06-09 show the same.

This is what the GM eSI system shows....

Not camber, caster specs changed.
Many decades in automotive repair plus my ocd perfectionism, I will only accept a proper alignment on my rides!
My breakdown H2 perfect alignment:
0.00°Camber
.10° Toe
3.5°-4.8° Caster (slight offset to compensate road crown)
0.00
° Thrust angle

3.5 driver and 4.8 passenger caster? That’s a lot! Are you driving on the side of a mountain?!😂

Nope.
"3.5°-4.8° Caster (slight offset to compensate road crown)"
Left/right caster in between 3.5°-4.8° with an offset minus-.3°-.5° L to R cross caster.

Well. Got it realigned… After listening to them trying to argue to me that their computer said 2.1 caster was the factory spec and that 3.35/3.65(literally directly from gm) was not right.

Unfortunately they had to max out the cam bolt on the right front and couldn’t get the camber up. It’s probably got a worn bushing which doesn’t surprise me. You can’t tell with a pry bar but that control arm is rough looking. .6 is basically nothing on camber on these trucks. You can sneeze on it and it’ll move half a degree anyway.

Straight as an arrow now. Its also crazy how much 1 degree makes on how well it returns to center.

Too bad the wheel is crooked by a couple degrees the other way. I won’t blame them for it though. Even when you lock the wheel at center it’s hard to get it perfect on a truck with recirculating ball aka a wet marshmallow steering gear. I took it before they could drive it too so they had no idea.

-.6° RF tire is gonna wear premature. Where's the front +.10° total toe? Why is the RR toe now +.59°?

Take it back for another adjustment or take to another shop that knows proper alignment readings.

-.6 is hardly anything and it’s because the bushing is worn. I can see the cam bolt is completely maxed out. I’ll replace it eventually.

The toe is not ideal but technically in spec so it’s gonna be fine. I can’t yell at them for something that is correct by the book.

idk what’s up with rear toe. They didn’t touch it probably because you can’t. He probably half *** put the rear alignment doo dads on just to make the machine work.
