Default Carpet Replacement Alternatives???

Hey all, I am curious if anyone has pulled the carpet from their trucks and replaced it with something else??
I have heard some people spray in bedliner or just leave them out.
I am wondering who all has done this and if so, is it more noisy in the cabin because the sound padding is no longer there...
is there any downsides?
Is there any up sides besides easy wear and tear or clean up?

I haven't done it but...

It would look cool. It would be durable. It would be less friend/family friendly. it would make the seats clash with the interior since the seats are super plush. 10 years go I'd probably go for it, or if the carpet was rough already. But my carpets are pristine. If they were trashed, i wouldn't hesitate to do it up in bedliner. I've done it in other trucks, it increased the road noise a bit. But carpet doesn't decrease road noise, mass does. Don't confuse foam with mass, because mass will always beat foam. If i didn't have a family of 4 that likes comfort I would do it. If i was building a beast I would do it. but my h2 is pretty with the chrome package and low miles and good condition. When that's no longer the case, I'll probably convert it to something agressive and masculine. Right now it's for show, i even feel bad to work with it. but itn a few years that may change.

I have pulled the carpet to replace it. I wouldn't recommend it. You will have several wiring harnesses and modules exposed throughout the truck that run along under the carpet.

Hey thanks... I didnt even think of that.
And though they could be covered, in the end I dont think it would be worth the work

I had two trucks I swapped them with. It's not easy to do.

Any upholstery shop should be able to easily replace carpet if that's what you're wanting to do.

Default H3 Carpet Alternatives

I was thinking about replacing carpet with with bulk vinyl or rubberized flooring? Is this moldable? Surely there is some product that custom shops use besides carpet.
