Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Sorry about providing so much fodder here. When I turn the wheel past a couple turns, at parking lot speeds, the brakes seem to engage whether I'm going forwards or backwards. As soon as I straighten the wheel, the problem seems to take care of itself. Any input on this, this is a new one but this is my first hydro boost vehicle too

I’m not an expert on hydroboost so someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think steering input would cause an increase in pressure to the brakes.

Verify that the vehicle is not in 4hi Lock or 4lo lock. Try cycling between 4hi lock and 4hi. Also driving around reverse and forwards. The actuator can often become stuck in lock despite what the indicator says.

4hi lock and 4lo lock will cause the driveline to bind up when turning on a grippy surface because the wheels aren’t able to move at different speeds. Try giving it a little gas and see if the vehicle hops and moves.

brakes being applied when turning is one of the signs of a bad hydro boost

That's all it was? Lol. At least you don't have to buy a new hydroboost. Luckily the driveline in the h2 is beefy enough that you likely didn't tear anything up.

That is also a sign of a failing hydroboost as mentioned though. Mine did exactly that. You could physically even watch the brake pedal go down some when turning the steering wheel.

Glad it was much simpler on yours. lol
