bcm removal help?

If grounding the PNK/BLK wire to the BCM didn't work, it does suggest a module problem.
In case you missed it, the guy in the video video actually removed/replaced his BCM without pulling the dash out.

You can find a hacked GM Techline Esi online that can downloaded and run or subscribe to it from ACDelco. The one you can download and run is older - GM used to put it on DVD's for stealerships but in they changed it to an online only system. There are pretty much two of the ones floating around on the internet. One only goes up to I think 2005 or 2006 and you have to install it, patch it, and then it just works. The other has updates through 2009 but is a virtual machine image so you have to install the VMWare player, it can then be launched and it starts up a Windows XP VM and runs within that. They are both a bit fiddly to get working in their own ways but not terrible. Of course both are licensed software so as such I have to warn that it is software piracy and you never know on sources for pirated software if everything is safe to use....
This page has the fully legal subscription version as well as the most current software to download additional Tech2 programming and whatnot. You should really not need the "vehicle programming software" unless you want to update some of the vehicles modules with newer software. TIS2000 that comes with most of the China Tech2's does have that as well. One other important note - if doing any full software updates and using TIS2000, the computer must have a traditional 9 pin serial port.

No I haven't had time to mess with it. Also, my tech 2 hasn't arrived yet. They supposedly shipped it three times and I still don't have it. They gave me bogus tracking. Hopefully it shows up. I ordered it a month ago. The hummer is going into storage shortly for the winter, so I probably won't get to it until spring.
