Default air suspension

Well after a lot of advice etc... finally decided to go with springs. Went with ARNOTT kitt C-2987, dualrate springs and a EBM modual or component which is supposed to delete suspension ionp light also puchaced MOOG rubber spring insulators top and bottom for any potential noises at the spring seat area, #K160072 , allthis from CARID comp. I will be offering the air compressor to sell (If I can figure out how to do this ) as I have written three such posts or threads and none of which has shown up on the forum ?? obviously I got one to go in I guess by luck. any way we'll see if this one goes in.

If anyone is interested I am going to sell my 2003 air pump / leveling sensors the system is still in operation just the air bags themselves are cracking/ dry rotting. my vehicle has only 42,000 mls on it, although it is 15 years old, I have video of the syst. going up & down which I can send to some one interested. although I would like to use it for the air compressor alone for tire inflation etc... I have read a lot of posts on this and still I am doubtfull if this can be done. some say you can connect the rt air bag line to the left port going out of the comp. unit and the inflator part will still operate.

Yes, you're posts are coming in fine. However, with such low miles I'd recommend you get your mileage out of your air-ride system. It's a good system despite what you read, and the bags themselves are cheap and easy to replace. They easily last 10 years.

thanks, although I have already recieved the springs kitt, and even though the vehicle only has 42000 mls on it, it is also 15 years old so I decided to cut any potential future loses and make the switch ( but thanks for the input/ advice.) we'll see how it goes, ride quality? noise etc...

Probably will be too much but shoot me a message with what you want for the compressor parts you pulled off. I'm in SC so while shipping is not terribly far I'd imagine it still will be pricey.

I have the compressor listed on craigs list /tampa florida. asking i think $700. although i'm not fixed on a certain price. negotiable, don't think it wieighs more than 20lbs, it is still in the truck as of now, I have removed the leveling sensors, make me an offer and we can proceed from there. (727) 364-5786 also, I think I mentioned that I have video of the system in operation

On thinking more about it.... .I'm going to hold off. If anything I'd only be getting it to just set it on a shelf in case I might ever need replacement parts. But that is a good bit of money to tie up indefinitely and as long as I take good care of mine it should last and be fine. On top of that I eventually plan on swapping mine out as well but not for springs... One day I plan on replacing the stock compressor and everything on the shelf with a higher power aftermarket compressor, aftermarket controls, along with a air tank. Going to do some careful measuring of the stock air bags and see if I can find some that have an even greater range of lift along with rear shocks with a greater range. Then I'll replace the schrader valve style fitting in the back for a higher flow air tools style fitting and be able to run some air tools, install an air horn, and have even greater control of the airbags. In the even longer run I'd like to find a way to adapt air bags to the front as well. I'm not looking to slam it to the ground like you see on some of the car shows though. In the end I'd like to try and get it to where I might have an overall up to maybe 6 to 8 inches of overall height adjustment. Adjustable maybe 1 to 2 inches below stock and 4 to 6 inches above. That will likely take some serious re-engineering of certain parts of the suspension, moreso on the front but also some in the rear as well to allow for that amount of travel.
