Default Hummer H2 Air Suspension kicked the bucket?

Hey all, I think my H2's air suspension has finally kicked the bucket after 7 long years. The compressor doesn't even click on anymore, and im afraid if I leave my suspension sagging the way it is, it will do damage to the axle and rear end. So I was thinking rather than fix the air suspension, should I just swap it out for springs? Because I'm 22 and in college, and I have next to no money to pay for a brand new compressor, airbags, plus installation.

Let me know what you guys think, enclosed is a pic of my sagging truck.

RIP air suspension, you served me well.

Also, will the coils ride much harder than air ride?

Springs are definetly cheaper then replacing the air suspension, but your airbags may still be good and you just have a dead compressor, which you can buy for about $400. Springs will be a little firmer than the bags and may not be cheaper then just replacing the compressor. Also if you get the springs the "service air susp" warning will show up on your dash and so far I havent heard of a way to get rid of it.

In the long run springs will save you $$

But I've only seen compressors for well over $800, is there an aftermarket one I can buy that is just as good?

Watch for them on Ebay. The springs will be less troublesome and cheaper in the long run. I loved my air suspension but wouldn't spend the dough to replace it if I still had my H2.
