Default exhaust for h3??

i have an 06 h3 hummer and have decided to put on some type of after market exhaust on it to let it breathe a little more. i have a predator II cold air intake filter on standby to put it on at once. i know that my previous h2 hummer was recommended to have the cadillac escalade dual exhaust.... question is...no one has any recommendations for the h3. i need advice on what? magnaflow, flowmaster, etc????? i need advice. i dont want an obnoxious deep sound either. just to let my engine breathe more and in hopes of some extra mpgs...please help

the only drawback with the I5 , as it is underpowered, if you're going uphill or a mountain for a long period of time, the noise might be too much.. you will not feel it with a V8....If you do flat plain driving, shouldn't be a problem...I'm thinking about an exhaust as well, but I do 10 miles uphill everyday, and couldnt bear the noise..

your best bet is to head down to your local muffler/exhaust shop and have them build you a custom system. shouldnt cost more than ordering a name brand online. I would also look into a pair of headers, you can do alot of upgrades with the I5

Thanks. It's hard when you really don't know to much about exhaust systems. I will do that though and head down to the local shops and start asking questions about the possibilities of custom or whats on the market that fits. Thanks again.

Go to ebay and search "H3 Hummer exhaust".

I have a MagnaFlow Cat back and like it a bunch. There are Cat backs from Borla, Corsa, Volant, Gibson, Bill Boat.... and more.

With an I5 an exhaust upgrade doesn't do much but make sound.

I have the GM Performance Parts Cat Back Exhaust and love it. It is a bit pricey (MSRP for something like $1200) but I ended up finding a new one for $400 shipped to me that included the tips (which are $80 if you want the GM H3 Embossed Tips).

Here is a link to one on ebay for $680:

Skikidnmu,

The GM Performance Exhaust isn't too loud. It has a really nice sound. I haven't heard the other ones in person but I was worried about the sound too and am very happy. If you want I can record a video w/the sound for you to see. Just let me know.
